Saint Joseph's University is a nationally recognized, Catholic, Jesuit university. The College of Arts and Sciences awards the Bachelor of Arts degree in classics, economics, English, fine and performing arts, French, French studies, German, history, international relations, Italian, Latin, philosophy, political science, public administration, Spanish, and theology and the Bachelor of Science degree in actuarial science, biology, chemical biology, chemistry, computer science, criminal justice, education, environmental science, interdisciplinary health services, mathematics, physics, psychology, and sociology.

The Erivan K. Haub School of Business awards the Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, decision and system sciences, finance, food marketing, international business, international marketing, management, marketing, and pharmaceutical marketing. A co-op program is available for all business majors.

Five-year B.S./M.S. programs are offered in education, international marketing, and psychology. The University also offers special academic programs in, aerospace studies (Air Force ROTC); allied health (bioscience technologies, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy [DPT], and radiologic sciences ); Africana, American, ancient, Asian, European, gender, Latin American, medieval, and Renaissance studies; health care ethics; writing studies; and teacher certification at the elementary and secondary levels.
