Look at a Career in HVACR

What's Behind the Thermostat?
Allow me to dramatize a typical scenario. It's a hot summer day, the temperature is in the 90's, the air conditioner is turned on, but nothing seems to happen. The thermostat is lowered to 60º, and still nothing happens. The Yellow Pages are consulted and several air conditioning contractors are called. The answer is always the same, "We will try to get there as soon as we can, but it will probably be a few days. We are short of manpower right now, but we're doing the best we can."

Wouldn't it be great if you could fill this void in the air conditioning service industry? The same shortage of trained technicians exists in refrigeration and heating. There will be a need of 100,000 to 140,000 technicians in the next few years. Consider taking advantage of this demand and secure one of these high-paying jobs!

By attending a qualified technical school and receiving training in the fundamentals of this challenging profession, this opportunity could be yours. An education in this field would assure you of an entry-level position with a high quality company where your training would be enhanced and expanded while you are working on the job.

What's behind the thermostat? A high-paying career in the HVACR (Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) industry, a field that has no season and few economical barriers. Equipment will always need to be installed and serviced. Just look around; see new housing being built, malls going up, and new office building and factories being constructed.

The best thing one can do is to seek out a quality technical school that will train you in basic electricity, thermodynamics, refrigeration, and the fundamentals of heating and air conditioning. With this knowledge, you will be on the road to a successful career in a most challenging and satisfying technical field.

Visit a local contractor and ask what qualifications you would need to gain an entry-level position. Talk to some technicians and ask what they are earning, and you will find out that a high salary is not uncommon.

What's behind the thermostat? A high-paying career waiting for you.
