Air
Force Reserve
If you join the Air Force Reserve, you can...
-
Stay home! You serve where you live, and that means you can continue building your civilian career and be near your family and friends.
-
Get a paycheck! We are offering you a part-time job with retirement benefits, a chance to do extraordinary things and make lasting friendships, and the opportunity to serve your country.
- Get an education! This is a huge benefit if you want to go to college or a trade or technical school. Here's how it works.
- Colleges and universities. Under the Montgomery GI Bill, you are reimbursed for undergraduate and graduate tuition. If your major is in a critical career field, you may receive a supplement or "kicker" in addition to that tuition.
- Trade and technical schools. Tuition reimbursement may be offered for accredited schools.
- Community College of the Air Force. This school offers associate degrees in 66 fields. Technical training received through the Reserve may count as credits toward your degree.
- Ongoing training. Specific training offered by the Air Force Reserve, such as that given to plane mechanics, can lead to certificates, like an FAA Air Frame or a Power Plant Certificate that could advance your civilian career.
The Air Force Reserve might very well be your chance to change your life. It doesn't cost a thing to call us. A recruiter will answer your questions and explain your options. Then, it's your decision.
