A liberal arts college, founded in 1868, Bloomfield College continues to be the most affordable four-year private institution in the State of New Jersey. While the College is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church, Bloomfield openly welcomes students of all religions. The College offers a quality academic education and financial accessibility for students who wish to take advantage of a private education.

Bloomfield College enrolls approximately 2,300 students per semester, two-thirds of whom attend full-time. The College is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and awards Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in the following areas: Accounting, Allied Health Technologies, Biology, Business Administration, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Computer Information Systems, Creative Arts and Technology, Education, English, History, Internet Technology, Mathematics, Nursing, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Religion and Sociology.
Located 12 miles west of New York City, Bloomfield College students can take advantage of the educational, social and cultural experiences offered in New York City and the region. The College's 12-acre campus reflects the area's history and architecture. The Robert V. Van Fossan Theatre is a 300-seat, state-of-the-art facility housed in the Romanesque-style building, Westminster Hall.
The College's high-tech, high touch library provides material in print and digital formats and features computer labs and laptop workstations throughout the library. The newly renovated Talbott Hall is the technology hub and media center of the College. The Student Center is the centerpiece for student socialization, new experiences and making friends.
Student organizations are a key aspect of campus life. There are 30 organizations that focus on social and academic advancement, ethnic pride, exploration and leadership development. In addition to active student organizations, student activities include a full program and intercollegiate and intramural athletics for men and women. Bloomfield College is an NCAA Division II member. Their athletic teams compete in men's and women's basketball and soccer; women's softball, cross country and volleyball; and men's baseball, tennis and cross-country as part of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC).
