Yet, Centenary College offers so much more.

Located in forty-two acres in New Jersey's beautiful and historic Skylands Region, Centenary College sits at the heart of a vibrant range of cultural and outdoor activities. The Skylands Region contains two national parks, 60,000 acres of state parkland, lakes, rivers, and picturesque hills. The region's rustic nature is perfectly complemented by towns and villages that offer entertainment, shopping and fine dining, museums, theaters, and accommodations. Hackettstown, the home of Centenary College, was voted one of America's Top 100 Towns (2005) by MoneyTM Magazine.

Centenary is home to thirteen NCCAA Division III Intercollegiate athletics teams. Many of our teams enjoy regional and national recognition, as do many of our student athletes. Centenary also sponsors a range of Intramural sports activities. At the heart of our athletic activities is a newly built 30,000 square foot Athletic Center that includes a 1,200 seat gymnasium with two full-sized multi-purpose courts, a fitness center/weight room, locker rooms, a pool, indoor batting cages, and athletic training facilities.

Centenary College is also home to our renowned Equine Studies department. Set on sixty-five rolling acres in historic Long Valley, New Jersey, our Equestrian Center provides a spacious facility for rider training, equine science and management studies, and a horse shows. Many of our student riders earn top honors in ANRC, IDA, and IHSA competition. In 2007, Centenary College hosted the ANCR and IHSA Nationals.

Centenary's Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team continues to win top honors in National competition. In 2007, C-SIFE took first runner-up honors in their league, placing them in the top 40 of all SIFE Teams in the US.

All Centenary College freshmen participate in our First Year Experience, a year-long program designed to help students bridge the transition from high school to college. This program is the starting point for all the many services our students enjoy.

Centenary provides a number of academic success services, health and counseling services, campus-wide security, outstanding dining, comfortable residences and dorms, career services, social activities, clubs, sororities and fraternities, community service projects, academic organizations, and special campus events. We are committed to providing opportunities for you to meet people, make friends, get involved, be successful, and have fun!

On the cultural side the Centenary College Performing Arts Guild, the area's only Equity-Guild performing arts theater, offers dramatic productions, cultural exhibitions, jazz performances, and musical events throughout the year. The college's radio station WNTI offers an ear-popping mix of alternative rock, jazz, live performances and also plays host to many of our college's aspiring radio broadcasters. The college television station provides our local cable carrier with student-produced programming ranging from reality TV shows to specialty documentaries. Our Fine Arts students offer a kaleidoscope of personal art exhibitions, while our Fashion department causes a stir each spring with its annual fashion show highlighting the collections of the industry's newest designers.

Centenary College is an International campus with students from Canada, Europe, South America, and the Far East. We are also a diverse campus joined together by shared values of academic excellence, personal enrichment, individual leadership, and service to our community.

For the past two years, our college partnered with Drew University of Madison, New Jersey, to bring our dedicated faculty, staff, and students to New Orleans to help with post-Katrina reconstruction. Closer to campus, Centenary College is home to the North New Jersey Regional Women's Center and the regional office of the New Jersey Small Business Development Center. Each fall our incoming freshmen participate in the college-sponsored Community Plunge that devotes the energy and talents of our college to the homeless and the needy in our area.
