The Center of Industry & Technology
Training and Certification for the Trades in Atlanta, GA

The Center of Industry & Technology (CIT) provides training, re-training, customized programs and various certifications for the trades. Our methods are individually paced, through the completion of skill levels, in building block style, and not just through the completion of chapters and tests. We pride ourselves on our quantity and quality of hands-on training.

Our GOAL is to train students and have them obtain the highest quality skills in the industry and learn a marketable trade, allowing them to secure meaningful employment.

Customized Training

Courses are designed to teach the skills needed for welding and maintenance required by employers.

Learning is maximized through limited class sizes enabling students to have their own tools and lab space. This training approach ensures students maximize lab training time, which can account for the majority of time actually spent at the school. The remainder of the time is spent in class learning the skills necessary to perform their trade. Graduating students leave with confidence, pride and new skills.

The objective of qualification testing is to allow the student proof of skills for employment and advancement opportunities.

Acceptance for Training
This school is an equal opportunity institution and will consider applicants without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, or qualified disability.

Applicants should be in good general health, free from physical and/or mental disabilities that would prevent them from safe performance in their chosen program or prevent them from successful completion of training. Some programs do require the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Applicants must be eighteen (18) years of age or older. Special contracted programs excluded.

Application, interview, and test scores will all be considered when determining acceptance.

To apply for admission, applicants should contact an admission representative at the school to schedule an appointment for a personal interview and tour of the facility. Applicants for training are typically required to visit the school and interview. (This requirement may be waived if the distance involved would make the trip to school impractical.) At this time the applicant will complete an application for enrollment and an enrollment agreement.

There are no application fees.

The school will review the application and notify the applicant in writing whether or not he/she has been accepted.
