Huron School of Nursing, located in Cleveland, Ohio is a quality, progressive program offering dual credentials: a Diploma in Nursing from Huron School of Nursing and an Associate degree from Cuyahoga Community College or Notre Dame College. Applicants to the school may choose from the four semester Day or Evening/Weekend program. The School of Nursing places a strong emphasis on the study of nursing in both a classroom and clinical setting. The courses taken in the program include the majority of the support courses required for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) completion programs. Graduates of Huron School of Nursing are excellently prepared to begin nursing careers in a variety of health care settings. Huron School of Nursing is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) and approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing. The school is a member of the Council of Diploma Programs of the National League for Nursing and the Ohio Council of Hospital Based Schools of Nursing.
Several sources of financial aid, both private and government sponsored, are available to students. Federal and state financial programs include Federal PELL/SEOG grants, Ohio Instructional Grant, Federal Direct Student Loan (subsidized and unsubsidized) and Nurse Education Assistance Loan Program (NEALP). The SmartLoan tuition assistance loan program for eligible Cleveland Clinic, Eastern market employees and eligible family members provides financial support to attend Huron School of Nursing in exchange for a work commitment. The school also offers scholarships to qualified nursing students.
