PROGRAM CONCEPT
Today's audio industry requires a broad knowledge of audio technology and a wide variety of specialized skills in recording, editing, mixing and mastering audio. Studio setups found in the industry range from small home studios to large format consoles in major recording studios. These audio technology programs provide the required diversity and professionalism in equipment, skills and theory topics. Students acquire essential experience using industry standard equipment in order to be well prepared for work in the industry or individual ventures.
GOALS
Graduates of the SAE Audio Technology programs are able to operate a wide range of professional, industry standard equipment. Graduates will complete a comprehensive postproduction project, programmed MIDI arrangements and work extensively with digital audio workstations.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The audio technology programs are designed to train students for entry level positions as audio engineers in the areas of commercial recording, broadcast and live sound. SAE Institute of Technology provides the necessary understanding of the music industry for entry level positions in the entertainment businesses including record companies, production houses, and other related businesses.
