U.S. Coast Guard – Born Ready
The USCG is the oldest lifesaving service in the world and is the primary guardian of America's waterways and coastlines. We carry out the peacetime missions of maritime safety, maritime law enforcement, marime environmental protection and national security. This means in the USCG you could be patrolling for and detaining drug traffickers or illegal immigrants, controlling damage from an environmental accident, or searching for the crew of a sinking ship. In the Coast Guard we are always ready to help and defend the American people.
