Founded in 1904, Wentworth Institute of Technology is an independent, co-educational, nationally-ranked institution offering career-focused education through 15 bachelor's degree programs in areas such as architecture, computer science, design, engineering, engineering technology, environmental science, and management of technology.
Mission and Values
Wentworth takes pride in educating students in technical disciplines through a nationally recognized model of hands-on, real world problem solving combined with classroom instruction and cooperative work experience. Within a student-focused learning environment, Wentworth provides opportunities for intellectual and personal growth both in and out of the classroom, resulting in the development of the whole student as a skilled professional and engaged citizen.

Active for more than 30 years, ours is one of the largest and most comprehensive cooperative education programs of its kind in the nation. Co-op is a requirement for all majors. -

3,636 students (3,141 full-time) from 37 states and 50 countries. ALANA (African, Latino/a, Asian, Native American) enrollment is 15 percent and international enrollment is five percent. 12 percent of new students are transfers. -

Student center, 75,000-volume library, athletics field, gymnasium, fitness center, bookstore, convenience store, and food-court cafeteria. More than 40 student activities and chapter memberships in professional associations. Women's Resource Center; Academic Resource Center; Health, Counseling, and Career centers; and 24-hour campus police. -
Athletics
NCAA Division III, Eastern College Athletic Conference, Commonwealth Coast Conference; 14 intercollegiate varsity teams. -
Colleges of the Fenway
The Colleges of the Fenway is one of Boston's largest academic collaborations. This partnership with Emmanuel, Simmons, and Wheelock colleges, Massachusetts College of Art, and Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences features cross-registration, combined social events, and an expanded campus community.
